Click on File Menu -> Open Autocad project or file -> Choose Autocad project (*.cad) and click on Open to start the process.

When the file opens, click on open button to the project.

Click on File Menu -> Save As to save the file.

Save As – [full path] \ [name] \ [last name].cad
Note: [full path] would be the path of the folder where you are saving the file. [name] would be the name of the file, [last name] would be the last name of the file. You can set a name in a different way but i will explain it.

Save the file with the extension *.cad, or else it will be a *.dwg file.

You will see two images:

Top image – before.
Bottom image – after (the other file has been opened)
