Play as the Moon Goddess Asvini, a powerful being who was formed as a weapon when her human shape was lost. Your goal is to revive Asvini and to destroy the Cycle of Sins that’s threatening the entire universe. Can you help Asvini regain her life and stop the falling chaos?

THE STORY:
The characters you control are reincarnations of deities who’ve been hunting each other’s reincarnated bodies for centuries. Each time they defeat a reincarnation of their opponent, they gain a skill from the defeated, which improves their combat skills, and this goes on and on until they have one skill left. The character you control is the reincarnation of Asvini – a powerful goddess who, out of pride, was cursed with eternal life – and you can take on the roles of three other characters who reincarnate at the same time and have their own storyline.

Asvini loses her form and becomes a pair of goddess hunters.

THE PORTAL:
After your journey across the planes, you reach an otherworldly town, the City of Chaos. The young princess there, who was raised by the White Goddess, Asvini’s reincarnated form, challenges you to defeat the Cycle of Sins that’s threatening the world. When you’ve obtained the skills needed to win the princess’ challenge, you can restart your adventure from the same place.

STORY MODE:
The Story Mode has three routes to take on, each containing three episodes and culminating in a boss fight.

SOLO MODE:
Apart from the Story Mode, you can play through the solo mode by completing each episode from the beginning to the end, and if you win a specific amount of gold or reach a certain level you’ll be able to use the skills you unlocked.

KHALID SHOAH’S CASTLE:
Khalids Castle is made up of ten episodes, and you can decide what to do with them; the choices you make affect your game and make it harder or easier.

    Critic Reviews

    The game was reasonably good, just it had a couple of issues with the auto-save feature, it would often randomly save after each and every level, which was annoying. It also didn’t save the best score you could ever get on a level.
    But I would give it a 9/10 because it’s a fairly well done 2D puzzle game. It has different difficulties and you can opt to play a level a single time or multiple times. It also has an offline level editor, a fun little tool.

    Draw me a Line!

    Laser Burst has great potential, but it’s lack of use is what ruined it for me. Essentially, all you do is rotate the mirrors in order to create a laser and hit the balloons. Sounds simple enough, but it’s not. You must keep track of a certain line of lasers in order to keep you from being trapped. As well, you must use caution when changing mirrors, because you’ll lose some of your current lasers and gain a new one. This all adds up to add up to some pretty stressful gameplay. I had to restart the game several times in order to get the timing right. When I finally figured out the timing, I was able to beat every level. The only thing that would have made it more enjoyable would have been if there was a way to save the timing you figured out. I can play the same level multiple times, but it would really be nice to save the timing for later.

    The title may be misleading in its description. Yes, there are levels, balloons and lasers. But there’s no puzzle aspect to it. There’s no challenge as far as I can tell. This is mostly due to the lack of a pause feature. Once you get used to the controls, you just move lasers into position by rotating the mirrors and pulling them back.

    Original Journey looks like a free-roaming Monster Hunter game, but in space, as far as the eye can see.KotakuI ran the entire first level, which is a chunk of the game’s campaign. It’s sort of a military training mission that takes place in some free-roam-like area. The gameplay is the standard racing and shooting fare, and you follow a 3D space monster. It doesn’t get more basic than that, which is to be expected from a launch title on a new hardware platform. I like it, especially the foot-shooting. That can get dicey when you’re creeping up to a monster without much cover, but good gunplay makes up for it. The gameplay gets a little repetitive at times, but at least it’s action-packed. And for a Wii launch title, it’s pretty damn polished.KotakuI like the UI, which is the most unique part of the game (at least for me), and it takes me back to the original Gameboy classic, Gauntlet. There are also only 3 buttons on the Wii remote, which is the same as the Super Smash Bros. Brawl 1-2-3, and you get a few sound effects and music cues as well.     Lost Planet: Extreme Condition

    Lost Planet: Extreme Condition requires no prior knowledge of the game, and that’s the only reason I’m reviewing this game. If you know what it is, you probably don’t need to read this review. If you don’t know what it is, then don’t worry about it, because no review will change your opinion. By the way, Lost Planet is a third-person action game with bullet-hell levels, lots of bosses, and some pretty interesting dialogues between androids, humans and a feisty, naughty alien.
