FileTaxi is a small utility written in C++ and designed for use in conjunction with a peer-to-peer sharing platform. The application allows you to specify directories, their content, and, if needed, their share policy.
FileTaxi is oriented on constant monitoring of your shared folders/directories, and is able to move files from one share to another instantly as they appear. Files that you share using, e.g. MATE (E), P2P clients will be automatically shared using FileTaxi.
FileTaxi configuration:
FileTaxi uses a configuration file to provide the application with the information that it needs to function correctly. The config file will be specified during installation if you selected the „Full Install“ option. The config file format is simple. First three column: a directory name, file name of the check file (optionally used in version 1.0) and a share policy. Each row represents a shareable directory/file, the name is the name to be shared, the file is the checkfile name that is used to decide what shares the directory/file is shared to (optionally, for multi-share directories, the check file name is relative to the directory – the check file name is the absolute path to the check file), „publish“ means to publish the shares that are to be allowed to the network, „unpublished“ means that the directory/file should be unpublished to the network, and „allow with password“ means that you should have a password set (either by administrative privilege or that has been given to you through a configuration file) to allow access to the directory/file.
You can have more than one share directory/file in a config file, and one or more of them may be shared.

Everything is good. The application runs very well. I even tried it on my windows 7 with the same result. But, I tried it on my windows XP and the app made the application hang up and the screen eventually goes to a black screen. I can’t do anything. I tried everything (stop the process, reset the syststem, restart, etc…), and nothing worked.

I did not include the administration panels for this application because the administration is so simple. Just one folder and one folder only.

FileTaxi was built around the Mozilla/XUL project, this means that the application is written in pure Java, using XUL for the UI. The application itself works in an XML distributed fashion.
