To practice standing floating potential, you need to stand on the edge of the pool. For safety, choose a swimming pool that is not too deep. Make sure everything is safe and slowly start diving with your hands holding on to the edge of the pool. Then, take a deep breath and try to push your body away from the edge of the pool. Position your hands and feet parallel above the water. Remember to move your hands like chicken wings flapping and your legs move like your legs when doing chest movements.

Breathing is important in swimming because a swimmer’s ability and speed are controlled by your breathing ability. First, you stand low on the edge of the pool, but make sure your face is still on the surface of the water. Second, breathe through your mouth. Hold for a while and put your head in the water.
