More and more Indonesian sports officials are trusted to hold positions in world organizations. Most recently, Irwan Alwi was trusted to be vice president of the Asian Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation (ABBF).

Irwan Alwi is the general chairman of the Central Board of the Indonesian Bodybuilding Fitness Association (PP PBFI). Because he has a good relationship with ABBF and the World Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation (click here), Irwan received this trust.

„I was appointed directly by the President of the WBPF and ABBF, Datuk Paul Chua is the Deputy President of the ABBF. This is an opportunity to be able to build the achievements of Indonesian bodybuilding sports in the future by utilizing existing programs at the ABBF and WBPF. This program is in accordance with the wishes of the Olympic Committee (NOC Indonesia) „which is trying to encourage members of national federations to take part in Asian and World sports federations,“ said Irwan Alwi in Jakarta, Thursday (17/2/2023).

With this position as Vice President of ABBF, said Irwan Alwi, it is a new hope for Indonesian Bodybuilding Fitness athletes to be able to speak at the SEA Games in Hanoi, Vietnam, 12-23 May.

At the Hanoi SEA Games there will be competition in 40 sports with 526 numbers. Specifically, the bodybuilding branch will compete for 10 gold medals.

In 2022, PP PBFI will hold national scale activities which will become a permanent calendar. Namely, the Mr. Bodybuilding and Fitness Open National Championship. Indonesia Series I which will be held at Balai Sarbini, Plaza Semanggi Jakarta, 18 – 19 March 2023.
