What is a Belmokhtar?

Last week, a group of Islamic extremists affiliated with al-Qaeda named Abou Louima, Kasa, and Zarqawi now led by the bomb-maker Ibrahim Ibn Aissa al-Belmokhtar, also known as Abu Saad al-Belmokhtar has pledged allegiance to Osama bin Laden and Ayman Al-Zawahiri.

This new movement is a group of terrorists that grew from the merger of a dozen cells that were originally focused on the overthrow of the Libyan government in Tripoli. The most notorious of these groups was the GSPC, (the group responsible for the 1998 bombing of the US embassy in Nairobi) known for its virulently anti-US stance and their brutality towards civilians.

The Libyan based Al Qaeda terrorist group has a striking resemblance to the Islamic terror network al-Qaeda. Their motives include spreading the radical Islamic law as

    Playable with 1-4 players.
    Multiple modes: Free-for-all, best of 3, best of 5, two-person teams.
    Bases are built by placing breakable blocks on the board. A player can get a bonus for building their base on top of a block already placed.
    As the game progresses players can pick up the Blue or Red colored blocks. The blocks have different properties and effects on the game. As the game progresses players can pick up multiple blocks of the same color and use them in combinations.

    About Last Game:
    Buildout was a tile-placement based war game for a total of 2-6 players on 2 screens. Players could place blocks on the board to create their own defences or conquer and bomb other players’ bases. Each base had its own colour, and as the game progressed players could collect Blue or Red coloured blocks and use them to create new blocks and effects, such as slowing down enemies or performing a special ability for each block (i.e. block on a block).
    There were five different game modes in the game:
    Free play mode – random placement of the blocks, anyone can win.
    Competative – a game of best of 3, the winner is the player with the most blocks placed on the board.
    Team – a team can be played with one player on each side, the player who takes the most bases will win.
    Pair – a game of best of 3, the winner is the player with the most blocks placed, but where it gets a bit tricky, the player who takes the most bases on their side is considered the winner.
    Free for all – the game is for all players to decide on their game modes, the player with the most bases on the board will be the winner.
    The gameplay mechanics were very simple, it consisted of the player doing their best to clear the board, and beating the other players. It worked best on Android, however, iOS is also playable, as there are app stores now where you can buy apps or games which are not free.

    This is my first game. I plan to make more. I am a very new game creator in the game development community. Please take a look at my work and provide me feedback 🙂
