Creating the Airplane Overlay
The airplane is an easy overlay. It’s made up of a layer with a colored fill. To do this task, follow these steps:
1. Open a new canvas with the background color you want for your image.
After the new canvas opens, make sure that it’s not the document window. Choose File⇒Open and navigate to the Photoshop folder on your computer and select the airplane_chart_front.psd file. This file will be in your Photoshop folder.
2. Click the New Layer button at the bottom of the Layers palette.
3. Name the new layer and click OK.
The layer is called airbrush.
4. Select Airbrush from the Brush menu.
5. The Airbrush options appear on the Options bar.
You can choose a brush size and color for the new layer.
6. Click and drag to make the new layer the size you want and click to finish.
The plane is now made into a layer. You can see it in the Layers palette, as shown in Figure 12-2.

7. Choose Layer⇒Duplicate Layer, and press Ctrl+J (Windows) or Command+J (Mac) to duplicate the airbrush layer.
This layer becomes duplicated now.
8. Select the duplicated layer, and click the Clear Layer button on the Options bar to remove the color fill.
9. Click the Airbrush options on the Options bar to choose a new airbrush and size.
10. Create the new layer, and click OK.
Make sure that the new layer is selected in the Layers palette so you can see it. See the next section to add color fills to the new layer.

Step 1: How to Load an Image in Photoshop Elements
When editing raw images, you will probably start by loading your image. To do this, you have to click on the Open button (the same one you use for your other images).
Before opening the image, be sure to navigate to the correct folder where your raw file is located. Then, select the raw file.
Note: In case you are having problems in opening the image, download the full version of Photoshop Elements.
Step 2: Apply the Basic Settings
When the open window appears, you will be able to change the document’s name and resolution. You can also change the color mode and adjust the brightness and contrast, among other things.
If you want a dark black/white image, you can select the Black and White option instead of the Normal setting. If you want your images to be lighter, you can choose the Lighten option.
Select the File type option in the General tab to choose which color space the image will be stored in.

Tips:
If you are working on an older version of Elements, do not worry. You can still access the settings using the More Options window.

GARDA Sergeant Eamonn Duffy made a protected disclosure to the tribunal which led to the prosecution of former leader of Sinn FĂ©in, Gerry Adams.
The claims were made in a written statement to the tribunal by Sergeant Duffy in September 2015.
It is the second time Sgt Duffy has made a protected disclosure under the Garda Siochana Ethics Office Code of Ethics.
In September 2014 Sergeant Duffy, then the Garda Press Association’s chief executive, made a protected disclosure against Minister for Justice Alan Shatter.
In the statement Sgt Duffy alleged he had been contacted by a “senior Garda” regarding confidential information about Mr Shatter.
In his statement Sgt Duffy claimed that at the time he thought the officer was connected to the investigation of the then Sinn FĂ©in leader Gerry Adams.
Earlier last year, Sgt Duffy’s colleague, Garda Commissioner Martin Callinan made a protected disclosure against Mr Adams in relation to the investigation into the killing of journalist Veronica Guerin in Dublin.
Sgt Duffy’s statement states: “The Minister at the time contacted me and I took it that he was connected to my contact regarding the ethics of Mr Shatter, because he referred to an investigation regarding Mr Adams,” and “I then believed that it was about Mr Adams and that was the main reason I was interested in this issue.”
He added: “I accepted that as a citizen I was not entitled to talk to the Garda Siochana and I promised him that I would not talk to anyone else about this issue.”
Shortly after Sgt Duffy made the disclosure, the tribunal upheld a complaint by Mr Adams against Mr Shatter’s department and on December 8th the department dismissed Mr Adams’ claim.
There is no record of Sgt Duffy’s disclosure being made to the tribunal and the tribunal’s register of protected disclosures does not show that it was made.
It is recorded only on a garda register.
In his statement, Sgt Duffy said: “I fully supported the Department’s decision to dismiss Mr Adams’ claim and I would not have done this for any party, be it political, political bloc or any pressure group.

Crist said he believed the worst of the allegations against him were true and Prejean’s conduct was wrong, but that in the eyes of God, „I don’t see any of that. I see a broken soul.“
