Cannot access secure resources on a ASP.NET MVC website from another JavaScript file
I am getting a rather weird issue when trying to access some ASP.NET MVC resources from a JavaScript file.
When running the app locally (Development environment), everything works fine and the resources are not secured. However, when deployed on a host web server, the resources are secured and I cannot access them.
The reason I need to access the resources from a JavaScript file is that I have a custom intranet component that will load on most, if not all pages of the application. This component needs to access some resources provided by the MVC app. If the application resides on the same domain (which it does), the resources are not secured, but if it resides on a different domain then the resources are secured and I cannot access them.
I’m at a loss as to why this is happening. I’ve been able to get the scripts to load on my localhost, but not the deployed version. I can’t seem to find anyone else with this issue.
I’m using ASP.NET MVC 3 with the HTML5 Boilerplate (which uses the ASP.NET membership system to handle the authentication).
I’ve tested using the browser and document.cookie to make sure the session variable was being passed properly.

Plot
In New York City, Angela Jones and her husband Sam Reynolds work for a large corporate law firm. They have a thirty-one-year marriage and have one young daughter.
A few months earlier, while working, Sam was viciously mugged by a couple of yobs. He was so badly beaten that he is unable to talk, and has suffered permanent vocal cord damage.
